After teaching at the University of Northern Colorado for thirteen years, Tom Bredehoft joined the WVU department of English in 2007. Specializing in the Old English literature of the Anglo-Saxon period, his interests and publications also include medieval literacy and material culture, late medieval pilgrim badges, contemporary comics, science fiction, and (most recently) continental Old Saxon. He is currently working on essays about Harvey Pekar’s American Splendor comics, medieval English chronicles, and the relationship between Old English and Old Saxon poetry.
