Cari Carpenter comes to WVU after an eight-year stint in Michigan, where she earned a M.A. in English (1998) and a Ph.D. in English and Women’s Studies (2002) from the University of Michigan. She spent the next two years as a Mellon Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at Kalamazoo College.
