Specializations
Kayode O Ogunfolabi, Assistant Professor of World Literature, earned his Ph.D. in English from Michigan State University in 2008. His research focused on how writers from postcolonial societies reconstitute historical knowledge through marvelous and magical literary orientations. He has published articles on history, political use and abuse of violence, Richard Wright’s Native Son, and modernity and imperial culture.
He teaches undergraduate courses in Postcolonial Literature and Non-Western Literature. Kayode is delighted join the faculty and staff of the English Department at WVU, a move he considers a great opportunity to work with other literature and English specialists while exploring his research interests.
