Scott Wible teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and directs internships in the Professional Writing and Editing program. His current research explores how language arts scholars have intervened in civic and educational debates over language policies concerning linguistic diversity, from the Conference on College Composition and Communication’s advocacy for “Students’ Right to Their Own Language” in the 1970s to the Modern Language Association’s present-day efforts to broaden the Defense Department’s security-focused National Language Agenda.
