Fees

Full participation in the conference ($350) includes: a place in a workshop (fiction, poetry, or nonfiction), which meets three days, a one-on-one meeting with the workshop leader (optional); a welcome luncheon; full access to all panels, craft classes, and readings. WVWW also offers a reduced rate for participants who would like to attend the luncheon, panels, classes, lectures, and/or readings without enrolling in a workshop. This rate is $120 for the four-day conference or $50 per day (Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday); Saturday’s open mic reading is free and open to the public. Please refer to “The Schedule” section for each day’s events.

Directions

Directions to WVU and Stalnaker Hall

Note: Upon arriving in Morgantown, you may park on North High St. or Prospect St. (park in the spaces with the yellow bags covering the parking meters) and carry your luggage to Stalnaker Hall. If you need help with your luggage, please let us know when you register. Someone will walk to your car and help youBe sure to display your parking permit on your dashboard. Registration will be held on the first floor of Elizabeth Moore Hall.  

I-79 South
  • Take Exit 155 (West Virginia University).  
  • Turn left. 
  • At the second traffic light by Sheetz (approx 6/10 of a mile),veer right. At the 5th traffic light (approx. 3 miles), turn left onto Campus Drive. 
  • At the traffic light at the top of the hill, turn right onto University Avenue. 
  • Proceed down the hill and around the loop. 
  • As you come up the hill, move into the left turning lane. 
  • Turn left onto College Avenue (not marked with a sign). 
  • Turn right onto Maiden Lane. 
  • Halfway through Maiden Lane, Stalnaker Hall will be the building on your left. 
  • At the end of Maiden Lane, turn right or left onto N. High Street (park in the spaces with the yellow bags covering the parking meters). 
  • You can also park on Prospect St. which is located near the bottom of N.High St. 

I-68 West 

  • Take Exit 7 (Pierpont Road). 
  • Turn right off the exit. 
  • At the second traffic light (approx. 1 mile), turn left (follow 119 South). 
  • At the roundabout (approx. 1 ½ miles), follow signs to continue on 119 south. 
  • Once through the roundabout, proceed approx. 5/10 of a mile and where the road goes left (marked by a yellow sign w/ a black arrow) TURN RIGHT onto College Ave. 
  • Stay on College Ave. for 7/10 of a mile and turn left onto Maiden Lane. 
  • Halfway through Maiden Lane, Stalnaker Hall will be the building on your left. 
  • At the end of Maiden Lane, turn right or left onto N. High Street (park in the spaces with the yellow bags covering the parking meters).
  • You can also park on Prospect St. which is located near the bottom of N.High St. 

I-79 North 

  • Follow the signs to I-68 East. On I-68 East, take Exit 1 (University Avenue). 
  • Turn left at the traffic light (119 North). At the 10th traffic light (approx. 4.4 miles), turn right onto Campus Drive. 
  • At the next traffic light, turn right onto University Avenue. 
  • Proceed down the hill and around the loop. 
  • As you come up the hill, move into the left turning lane. 
  • Turn left onto College Avenue (not marked with a sign). 
  • Turn right onto Maiden Lane. 
  • Halfway through Maiden Lane, Stalnaker Hall will be the building on your left. 
  • At the end of Maiden Lane, turn right or left onto N. High Street (park in the spaces with the yellow bags covering the parking meters). 
  • You can also park on Prospect St. which is located near the bottom of N.High St.
