Calliope, WVU’s Undergraduate Literary Magazine, Accepting Submissions

Calliope, WVU’s undergraduate literary magazine, will be accepting submissions of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and artwork until February 28. All WVU undergraduates, no matter their major, are eligible to submit.

Fiction and nonfiction should be 3000 words or less. Poetry should be 500 words or less. Three works of art (in PDF or JPEG format) may be submitted.

All submissions should be emailed to wvucalliopesubmit@gmail.com.

Calliope will be published online by early April. Authors whose work appears in the magazine will be invited to do an end-of-the-semester reading, scheduled for Thursday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Colson Hall room 130.

“The undergraduate editors of Calliope always do a wonderful job,” said Mark Brazaitis, a professor of English and Calliope’s faculty adviser. “In Michael DiBacco and Scarlet Mebane, we have great editors this year. It should be an outstanding issue. Please submit!”
