The Appalachian Prison Book Project (APBP) is a 501c3 organization that sends free books to people imprisoned in six states. Depending on their interests, PWE interns assist with grant writing, digital archiving of letters and artwork, promotional materials, social media, and the organization’s website.

The Literacy Volunteers of Monongalia and Preston Counties (LVMPC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, confidential, and innovative services to adults, including GED tutoring, computing skills, citizenship preparation, and literacy instruction.

Morgantown’s Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, member based organization with over 400 members throughout the region and state. Morgantown Area Economic Partnership
The Morgantown Area Economic Partnership is a nonprofit, public-private sector partnership that provides development assistance to the business community of Monongalia and Preston counties. The Monongalia County Development Authority (MCDA) is an arm of county government whose purpose is to “promote, develop and advance the business prosperity and economic welfare of Monongalia County.” MAP and the MCDA work together to help new and existing businesses in such areas as capital financing, tax incentives, employee recruitment and training, sites and buildings, international trade, and community and economic data.
