Fees, Directions, and Transportation

Fees

Full participation in the conference ($280 for returning participants, $300 for new participants) includes: a place in a workshop (fiction, poetry, or nonfiction), which meets three days, a welcome luncheon; full access to all panels, craft classes, and readings. WVWW also offers a reduced rate for participants who would like to attend the luncheon, panels, classes, lectures, and/or readings without enrolling in a workshop. This rate is $100 for the four-day conference or $50 per day (Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday); Saturday’s open mic reading is free and open to the public. Please refer to “The Schedule” section for each day’s events.

Directions to WVU and Parking Area on Prospect St. (for those not staying in Honors Hall)

Note : For those who requested a parking permit and  not staying in Honors Hall, you may park on Prospect St. (park in the spaces with the yellow bags covering the parking meters).  Be sure to display your parking permit on your dashboard. Registration will be held in E. Moore Hall.

I-79  South

  • Take Exit 155 (West Virginia University).  
  • Turn left. 
  • At the second traffic light by Sheetz (approx 6/10 of a mile),veer right. At the 5th traffic light (approx. 3 miles), turn left onto Campus Drive. 
  • At the traffic light at the top of the hill, turn right onto University Avenue. 
  • Proceed down the hill and around the loop. 
  • As you come up the hill, move into the left turning lane. 
  • Turn left onto College Avenue (not marked with a sign). 
  • Turn right onto Maiden Lane.
  • At the end of Maiden Lane, turn right onto N. High Street.
  • Make a right on Prospect St. at the bottom of the hill (park in the spaces with the yellow bags covering the parking meters).

I-68 West 

  • Take Exit 1 (University Ave.). 
  • Turn left at the traffic light (119 North). At the 10th traffic light (approx. 4.4 miles), turn right onto Campus Drive. 
  •  At the next traffic light, turn right onto University Avenue. 
  • Proceed down the hill and around the loop. 
  • As you come up the hill, move into the left turning lane. 
  • Turn left onto College Avenue (not marked with a sign). 
  • Turn right onto Maiden Lane.  
  • At the end of Maiden Lane, turn right onto N. High Street.
  • Make a right on Prospect St. at the bottom of the hill (park in the spaces with the yellow bags covering the parking meters).

I-79 North 

  • Follow the signs to I-68 East. On I-68 East, take Exit 1 (University Avenue). 
  • Turn left at the traffic light (119 North). At the 10th traffic light (approx. 4.4 miles), turn right onto Campus Drive. 
  • At the next traffic light, turn right onto University Avenue. 
  • Proceed down the hill and around the loop. 
  • As you come up the hill, move into the left turning lane.

Directions to WVU Honors Hall

Note: Upon arriving in Morgantown, you may park in the Short Term Lot #5 (ST5) located across from Honors Hall between Carson and First Streets. Please pick up your permit at the front desk and place it on your rearview mirror as soon as you arrive.

I-79 South

Take Exit 155 (West Virginia University).

Turn left.
