Ashley Vandal

Ashley Vandall is a freelance writer and editor from West Virginia. She graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College of West Virginia University with a dual degree in English and Criminology in May of 2020. She also graduated with minors in Psychology and Communication Studies and an area of emphasis in Professional Writing and Editing.

Ashley specializes in writing and editing descriptive “how-to” articles, as well as editing short fiction pieces, though she also likes to write about modern media and pop culture on her blog. She is also a writer for Literary Quicksand, a book blog, where she primarily reviews novels from the bildungsroman genre or with LGBTQ themes.

Ashley writes poetry and practices learning German in her spare time, and she hopes to both publish her poems and become a fluent German speaker someday. She’ll be getting married in December. Once the pandemic is over, Ashley plans to travel to Europe for the chance to experience language immersion and a handful of other cultures.
